Macmillan Coffee Morning: Friday 29 September 2023

18 September 2023

Join us for our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, held in Waterloo hall on Friday 29th September. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported our previous ‘Coffee Mornings’; the money we have raised over the years has made an incredible difference, and we can’t thank you enough for helping us support those living with cancer! This year, we are hoping to raise as much as possible, whilst bringing the College community together over cake. Last year, we raised £1,376.90 and we hope to beat that total this year!

Event Date: Friday 29 September 2023

Time: 10:00 – 14:00

Venue: Waterloo Hall

What’s happening this year?

  • House Cake Competition for pupils to get baking and be creative! Cake design and taste will be judged by Head of the Wellington Community, Murray Lindo, and Head Chef, Darren Edwards at 11:15. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 House Cake entries and a prize for the best Community Cake entry!
  • Community Cake Competition – open to current parents and College & teaching staff
  • Various stallholders including Tropic, Magnetix Wellness Jewellery and Accessories, Jessica Lawrence Cards
  • Raffle with prizes donated by the stallholders and the College community
  • And of course, tea, coffee & homemade cakes! We recommend coming between 10:00 – 13:00 as not to miss out.

How can you help?

  • Bake a cake for entry into the cake competition and/or cupcakes, cookies, or other baked goods to sell on the day (please drop off at Waterloo Hall on the morning of 29 September before 10:00)
  • Donate a raffle prize – please bring to reception any time from now
  • We still have space for a few more stalls – please contact community@wellingtoncollege.org.uk if you’d like to take part

Students, current parents, and College & teaching staff are all very welcome to come along on the day – we look forward to seeing you there!

Please note, no nuts or nut products (Nutella, almond essence…) can be included in cakes, cupcakes or cookies as we are a nut free site. All baked items submitted need to have a list of ingredients included, so we can highlight any allergens.
