A trip down memory lane with Robin Dyer

20 March 2024

Last Monday evening College Archivist, Caroline Jones, chatted to Robin Dyer about his remarkable life at Wellington – from a pupil in the 1970s, through a 33-year career as teacher and Housemaster, and encompassing 16 years as Second Master. He was joined by special guests Nick Moss – Robin’s contemporary in the Talbot and lifelong friend, Ed Caesar – a student in the Benson when Robin was HM, now an author of non-fiction books and a journalist for The New Yorker magazine, and Lucy Pearson – Robin’s colleague between 2006 and 2010, during a transformative period in the College’s history, who is now the Director of Education at the FA. They have known him in each of his roles and looked back with him over the changing face of the College through five decades. There was also a very welcome guest appearance from Penny Dyer!

It was an extremely enjoyable evening, and we are sure that this recording will take you on a wonderful trip down memory lane.
