London Walking Tour – Pioneering Paddington

02 April 2019

Two hundred years ago the Paddington area consisted of a few ancient villages. With the advent of the commuter ‘Shillibeer’ omnibus in 1829, the area was transformed and urbanised. Today another transformation has taken place, with a regeneration project that started 20 years ago. Join me for a walk to explore the old and new Paddington famous for its transport links as well as a certain Bear.

Meeting Place: Chapel Road exit of Edgware Road Underground station using the Metropolitan/Circle/District Lines at 10.30am

NB – Edgware Road Bakerloo line exit is a short walk to Chapel Street

The walk will take 2 hours maximum. It will go ahead whatever the weather. Price £14 per person.
