As an “Old Dolphin” herself, with over 20 yrs of entrepreneurial adventures, Zoe draws on some of the qualities you can learn from Dolphins in their evolution from land mammals to navigating the waters of the world. Being an entrepreneur is much more than a job, it’s a life choice. One that has both immense challenges and rewards. Inevitably it will be all consuming. What are the qualities you will need? What are some of the challenges you will face? This “Life Beyond Wellington” talk and discussion will hopefully give you an insight into what it takes, what is more important than luck and how you can face changing circumstances. Even in a global pandemic…
Somewhat of a serial entrepreneur, Zoe Ley has created a number of different businesses across the fields of finance, medical supplies and consumer products. Having graduated with a First Class Honours in PPE, her journey began in the city becoming Managing Director of Rothschild Ventures by the age of 25 yrs old. She started the first venture of her own in 2000, successfully selling it 3 years later and has worked for herself since, mainly in the medical and consumer goods space, including starting the Rockster brand (fuelled by her love of dogs). The Life Partners Group she recently founded is a Strategic Partner of the Commonwealth and Enterprise and Investment Council and has played an active role in the distribution of medical supplies during the Coronavirus pandemic, both in the UK and overseas. She passionately believes in finding a way through the Coronavirus pandemic and is doing all she can to help open our world.
