Di Evans (Lynedoch Matron, 1993 – 2011)

We are sad to share that Mrs Diane Evans, (Mrs E), House Matron to the Lynedoch between 1993-2011, passed away unexpectedly on 11th September 2024. Mrs E was loved and respected by all the boys, her treasures, by parents and staff whom she worked with during her time at Wellington College.

The College was a special place to her, and so her family would like to have a bench placed at College in her memory. The bench will go on South Front at Wellington College, next to the memorial bench for her dear friend and colleague, Mandy Hopkins Busby.

Di’s family hope this will be a place people can go to remember Di and all she did for the boys of the Lynedoch and the College.
