Matt Cooksley (Hl 92) and his wife, Mary are organising a charity film screening of “Jungle Cry” which features Stewart Wright (Pn 92) on Sunday 4th September at 3pm.
They would love for as many people from the Wellington Community to join them and special guests at the Underbelly Earl’s Court outdoor cinema.
Jungle Cry is based on the inspiring true story of 12 underprivileged and orphaned children from Odisha in Eastern India and follows their triumphant journey to the U14 Rugby World Cup in the UK.
Stewart Wright (Pn 92) will be there along with Tom Varndell (the second highest try scorer in Premiership rugby history) to talk about the film and the foundation that the event will be raising money for (Jungle Crows Foundation!)
The event is family friendly (U-cert movie), and they would love children of all ages to come – there is a sandpit for the youngest and a variety of games for all ages. There will be a number of food stalls in the arena as well as two fully stocked bars! The trailer for the film can be watched here
More information about the event can be found via the Eventbrite booking link here and donations to the Jungle Crows Foundation can be made here.
