Gardening Question Time with Mark Dodd – Head of Gardens and Countryside

27 May 2020

We know that so many people are spending more time in their gardens lately, whether they are keen gardeners or complete novices, there is no better time! Summer term is usually full of fun and informative gardening society events, unfortunately this term has been a little different for us all….

Mark Dodd, Head of Gardens and Countryside at Wellington, is usually a key part in our gardening society events, giving wonderful tours of the College’s grounds, hosting talks on how to best look after your garden and the surrounding wildlife and generally being available to help with your gardening needs. As we couldn’t hold an event this term as we usually would, we thought we would try something a little different. We reached out to our gardening society group to see if they had any questions for Mark, there was so many great questions that Mark very kindly agreed to record his answers and share with the Wellington community.

In this brilliant recording Mark answers when is the ideal time to plant tomatoes plants outside to tips on starting your own wildflower garden and much more. To watch the video please click here
