The grand opening of the Living Legacy Garden happened over the Speech Day weekend, not only was it a fantastic event but we were so lucky with the weather!
The Living Legacy Garden was a show garden at the 2015 RHS Chelsea Flower Show which commemorated the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, and celebrates the role of Wellington College as the Duke of Wellington’s national monument.
The Living Legacy Garden was the idea of Darwin PIM CEO, Anthony Esse (Pn 75). He felt that a garden at Chelsea would be the ideal way to commemorate the anniversary of the Battle, whilst promoting the College and the Prince Albert Foundation to a diverse audience.
With thanks to Anthony Esse and his extraordinary generosity in sponsoring the garden at Chelsea and for enabling the garden to be recreated at College.
