One of the most courageous feats undertaken by man and achieved against formidable odds, former SAS Sergeant Pete Bray is the only person to have kayaked solo unsupported the North Atlantic!
For 76 days, this indomitable Cornishman paddled relentlessly over 2000 miles across one of the most inhospitable oceans in the world. Enduring extreme fatigue, atrocious weather and catastrophic equipment failure, he made landfall on the West Coast of Ireland just a few days before 9/11.
There is no denying that Pete, with many incredible expeditions and endurance challenges accredited to his name as well as being presented with several bravery awards for saving life in the face of adversity and surviving a hurricane, has led a very colourful life!
