‘A Career in Environmental Conservation’

Dr. Sir Christopher Tuite, Bt (Hl 1968)
Fri 30 April, 2:00 pm

If you are interested in conservation, climate change and environmental matters then this talk is for you! Listen to Chris, a lifetime conservationist with a Ph. D from Bristol in zoology/ecology talk about his career where after working for 30 years in the USA as an accountant he worked for some of the biggest and best conservation organisations, including The Nature Conservancy, Conservation International and International Fund for Animal welfare. Chris was also lucky enough to spend several years working for Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Maathai.

Despite being retired, Chris has an Advisory role for a conservation program in southern Kenya. This work is related to climate change and currently this branch of conservation is very topical and is providing a lot of job opportunities in both the corporate and non-profit sectors so we would suggest you watching Chris to find out more if you are interested!

This is one of two talks provided by Chris. The second talk in the series by Chris will focus on the specific work he is doing with a forest carbon project in Kenya.

If you have any further thoughts or questions Chris would be happy for you to contact him via Welly Connect.
