I spoke to a gentleman who, back in 1969, drove from England to Iran in a small Citroen. He arrived in time to watch the moon landing on television in Tehran!
I most enjoyed speaking to some really interesting OWs about their time at school, and the careers that they built thereafter. I have never spoken to so many fascinating people in such a short span of time.
Over this campaign I have learned that communication is a really valuable skill, and that people appreciate the ability to call someone up and have a friendly conversation over the phone.
I wanted to be involved in the campaign because I believe in the merits of the Prince Albert scholarship programme, and because I wanted to get career and life advice from interesting and accomplished people. Through my experience in the campaign, I was able to get advice through unforgettable conversations, and I gained a sense of achievement from being part of a team that raised a great deal of money for an important and meaningful cause.
