“I am currently working on my own business venture to set up an international trade consultancy”
What are you doing now?

I am currently working on my own business venture to set up an international trade consultancy representing the export and import interests of manufacturing companies in Turkey and the UK. A free trade deal was recently signed lifting the import quotas that were in place whilst the UK was in the EU, creating a promising opportunity in this space for the two countries that already had strong relations in trade.

What is your favourite memory from Wellington?

My favourite memory from Wellington is the House Singing rehearsals at the Hardinge. It was always entertaining to bond as a House in a competitive and amusing atmosphere.

Why did you want to be a part of the campaign? What made you want to get involved?

I am fortunate and appreciative of having had the opportunity to be a Wellingtonian. The experiences I lived have shaped me to become who I am today. Working with The Prince Albert Scholarship programme team to make it possible for those deserving but not able to experience Wellington without this programme is a beautiful way to give back.

A fun fact about yourself?

I love cooking and trading/investing. I create new recipes every week, always trying to creatively incorporate seasonal vegetables in my cooking. I am also a socially active trader who loves to share his analyses on various trading-related platforms.
