Entrepreneurship
“CEO and Founder of theUp.co ”

Hugo Tilmouth (R 13) has founded three successful start-ups from battery sharing, to fintech and finally sanitizer in peak COVID; raised $10M and generated over $20M in revenue and has taken two of them through to successful exit.

Hugo attended the University of Exeter from 2013-17, earning a Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering. After graduating, he co-founded ChargedUp, a network of 3000 charging points across 50 European cities, letting you rent a mobile charging pack from one destination and return it to another.

When COVID hit in 2019, the firm pivoted, turning their mobile charging stations to sanitization points – creating a new brand, CleanedUp. With the reopening of pubs and restaurants in 2021, theUp.co unveiled another technology offering, ServedUp – an all-in-one EPOS solution, designed to streamline a venue’s transactions to better serve their customers.

He now invests in the next generation of start-ups through his investment fund and community: Founders Capital.
