Grace Amos

I was quite shy when I first considered Wellington and worried about whether I would fit in, but the experience completely transformed my confidence and helped me become comfortable being myself.

At Wellington, I studied Ancient History, History of Art and Philosophy, and I loved being part of such a supportive and welcoming community.

Some of my favourite memories are of the friendships I made, the events and activities I took part in, and the feeling that there was always someone there to support me.

Since leaving College, I’ve continued to pursue opportunities beyond the classroom. I’ve volunteered at a community centre in Birmingham, spent time volunteering in Argentina at an elderly care home and a rescue animal farm, and I’ve been working as a barista alongside my studies. Looking ahead, I’d love to gain experience through gallery internships and eventually create my own exhibition space that supports emerging artists and helps make art accessible to more people.

The PAF Scholarship opened doors that I never imagined possible, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything it has enabled me to achieve.
