The Waterloo Society Presents: Post-War Wellington – Jazz, ‘Jallies’ and Japes

06 September 2021

Last year we embarked on an ambitious project to capture the memories of OWs who were at Wellington in the 1940s and 1950s. The response was fantastic, allowing us to put together a vivid and evocative picture of College life at that time.  As we prepare to launch our Wellington Heritage website to showcase this material, we invite you to a virtual talk where we will join Archivist Caroline Jones as she chats to some of the OW contributors and uncovers fascinating stories of fagging, ‘fug rugby’, dining hall delicacies and classroom pranks.

We are delighted that OWs Henry Beverley (A 53), Alan Munro (T 53), Martin Kinna (M 58), and Christopher Miers (Bd 59) will be sharing their personal memories from their time at wellington.
