Edward Twohig online art sale

27 October 2016

Edward Twohig RE exhibition in aid of the Performing Arts Centre Appeal
Wednesday 2nd November, 7.00pm-9.00pm, Wellington College, Common Room

On the evening of Wednesday 2nd November, there will be an exhibition at College of Edward Twohig’s extraordinary works, inspired by the grounds of Wellington College. Over the last three years, acclaimed artist and Wellington College Director of Art, Edward Twohig has captured much loved locations such as Swan Lake, New Ground, and the golf course in his unique style. We are delighted to announce that the sale of each work will benefit the Wellington College Performing Arts Centre Appeal.

“Never a day without a line” is Edward’s motto. Whilst most of the school is tucked up in bed, Edward works from 5am until 7am within the College’s grounds painting, photographing and drypoint etching.

Edward trained at the Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork before specialising in etching and photography at Chelsea College of Art, London. In 2016 Edward was elected a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. His work is represented by the Bankside Gallery and at Eames Fine Art in London. This is a unique opportunity for you to enjoy a glass of wine with the artist, hear more about the work and take home your own piece of Wellington inspired art. If you are unable to come along then fear not, an online sales platform will be launched on the day.

Works start at £400 unframed (with 50% going to the Appeal).
Places for the evening are limited so please register by email: community@wellingtoncollege.org.uk
